During the rituals, nukemachi communicate with the {{wp|Spirit world (Spiritualism)|spirit}} world and are believed to be able to see and talk to deceased, with several claiming they talked with their descendants from few previous generations. Ceremonies also include singing, both by nukemachi only, as well as by the participants - in Chanuche culture, human voice is said to wield knowledge older than its user, as it comes from the inside, connecting with the spiritual self.


Sannah released five albums, with four of them earning gold and two earning platinum certification in Gapolania. All of her twenty two singles made it to Gapolanese charts, with seven singles appearing on the foreign charts. She can be considered the most acknowledged Gapolanese singer in the history.

Anna was born in [[Nassea]], Gapolania on October 16, 1984. Her mother was a nurse while her father was a director in the [[Malcom Ovidèeri Theatre]]. She was the middle child, having an older sister and a younger brother. From early on, Sabelli demonstrated an interest in music and arts, starting with piano lessons since she was seven years old. In primary school, she often participated in the school performances, where she sang or recited poems, sometimes written by her own.


During the summers, her family would travel south to visit her mother's parents, descendants of the indigenous people. Sabelli would often cite the summer holidays spent with her grandparents as a main source of inspiration. Her grandfather, especially, would teach her folk songs and lullabies, which she would later incorporate in her music.

Following a series of wars against the indigenous inhabitants of [[Jossia]] and Gapolania, Chanuche and {{wp|Yaruro people|Dabu}} people were driven out of the coastal areas and pushed back into the highlands and mountains in the interior, forming isolated communities, in which the role of nukemachi started to differ, with some tribes reducing their power, while other increased it. Forced conversions of the indigenous populations to Sotirianity oversaw encouragement of antagonistic behaviors towards nukemachi, including banishment, beating and even killing - {{wp|witch burning|symbolic sacrifices}} backed by Sotirian priests. With time, Chanuche people became deeply divided between those embracing Povelian rule, which allowed them to live in the urban areas, where they could access food, money and education and those who decided not to convert to Sotirianity, hostile towards the colonizers. These more traditional societies maintained their semi-nomadic lifestyles and often waged minor wars against the formal administration of Jossia and Gapolania up until the late 19th century.
