Lo is a historic state in the eastern part of the continent of Ochran in the region of Ajax. Lo began as a Sinitic-speaking civilization which fell under the rule of Mankut peoples in the 12th century before the common era. The country was intermittently conquered before regaining its independence under a succession of increasingly-Sinicized Mankut dynasties before it united with the Oshkhanate in 1432 under the unified rule of Ozkan I Khagan.
As part of the unified realm of Uluujol after 1432, Lo has maintained a favored status and identity relative to the other subject peoples of the Khaganate, owing to its nature as a willing partner in the creation of the Khaganate rather than a conquered nation. This includes a greater degree of de facto autonomy for the governors of the Lo provinces in Uluujol.
The current ruling Yu dynasty of Uluujol originally hails from this region of the Khaganate.
