The Srad CA-30/90 is a recoiless revolver style automatic cannon developed and produced by Srad of Luminerra. It fires a unique caseless 30x250 mm cartridge.
Design
The Srad CA-30/90 automatic cannon utilizes a revolver style system with three chambers driven by an external electric motor, which allows for variable fire rates of up to 300 rounds per minute. The cannon utilizes a unique recoil compensation system in which the propellant gasses are vented from the rear of the weapon after firing, effectively nullifying the systems recoil, and thereby allowing the weapon to be used on extremely light mounts. In addition, the Srad CA-30/90 has a higher muzzle velocity than most comparable 30 mm cannons despite is recoilless design. Available ammunition types include high explosive, armor piercing, and APFSDS.
