The 23rd Independent Regiment (nicknamed "Huntsman") is an independent light infantry, special operations capable regiment of the Shenandoahan Army National Guard which is specialized in direct action special operations. It is headquartered at North Hills Armory, in Kinkade, Kanawha, near the city of St Albans. However, the majority of the regiments component battalions are forward deployed to other locations within the nation.
