Renato Fortuno Rubin (born April 11, 1967) is a Vitosian chef, restaurateur, and television personality. His global restaurant group, RF Rubin Restaurants Inc., was founded in 1995.
Early Career
While in college, he would work in a pizza parlour and a bar. After graduating, he would work in a restaurant as a sous chef and, later, manager where he would eventually meet his wife, Dana. In 1992, he would open up his first restaurant, Painted Star Trattoria. In 1996, he would open up three more restaurants (Bistro Captain, Cuisine Street and Savory Junction), which would become very successful. In 1999, he was recognized by famous Vitosian celebrity chef, Aristides Queiroz, who would kickstart Rubin's television career. Rubin now has fifteen restaurants across the nation.
Personal Life
Rubin met his wife, Dana Leigh Bandeira, when she came in a restaurant he was managing in 1989. She was a food critic at the time. The two would then marry in 1993 and have four children.
