The Hoterallia Naval Self-Defense Force (Hoterallian: ほてらじあ海軍の自衛軍, Hojo Romanization: Hoterajia Kaigun no Jiei-gun, abbreviated HNSDF), also simply known as the Hoterallian Navy, is the naval warfare branch of the Hoterallia Self-Defense Forces, tasked with the naval defence of Hoterallia. The HNSDF was formed following the dissolution of the Imperial Hoterallian Navy (IHN) after Second Reunification War of Hoterallia. The HNSDF has a fleet of over 90 ships and TBA aircraft and consists of approximately 33,000 personnel, with 3,500 are reservists. Its main tasks are to maintain control of the nation's sea lanes and to patrol territorial waters.

As an nation that historically depends on trading, dependent on maritime trade for the majority of its resources, including food and raw materials, naval and maritime operations are a very important aspect of Hoterallian defense policy. The HNSDF is known in particular for its anti-submarine warfare, power projection and powerful fortification. Due to this, the HNSDF earned the nickname "The Moving Island".

The Taigei class is equipped with a large amount of lithium-ion batteries making it possible for the submersible to travel longer and at higher speeds underwater than conventional diesel-electric submarines.
