In Episode 5, Amirah Burke and Keith Blackwell, infamously, chose to leave with each-other, causing a lot of controversy as everybody was supposed to be there for Isla. The controversy worsened due to Amirah's appearance in [[The Strife: Endurance II]] in 2013 where she revealed that she was never actually into women and lied to get on the show for screentime. Many fans, especially bisexual fans, were furious both before and especially after this revelation. A spokesperson from Noble spoke out after Endurance II finished airing, speaking on Amirah's statements, and would comment on her being blacklisted from the network. In 2015, executive producers of The Eligible announced the second bisexual lead in support. | |||

Season chronology |
The third season of Miss Eligible premiered in 2012. This season features Isla Sumner, a 30-year-old ? who won Sam Cresta's season. This season would be historic for being the first season to feature men and women competing for the heart of the eligible mate.
Isla Sumner gained a lot of popularity for winning Sam Cresta's season and famously rejecting his proposal due to his sexism displayed throughout the season. Her motivation was to win the season so that no other woman would be subjected to any more of his sexist behaviour.

Later, Alan would have a private talk with Isla where he comes across as desperate and even tries for a kiss but she is turned off by him. Inside the house, Connor would start a huge argument with Nehemiah, Rigo and Sam. When Isla comes in, she sits the four of them down where she threatens to send them all home on the spot. As Isla tries to calm down in another room, Alan approaches trying to get another kiss and he is sent home immediately. She comes into the room where all of the other men are and tells them that Alan has been sent home for constantly trying to kiss her and making her uncomfortable. She gives Angelo the first impression rose. |
