Tacitus de la Croix was a general and statesman during the Last Solarian Expedition. Appointed General of the Verliquoian Expeditionary Force, Tacitus spent twenty three years on campaign. Stretching from Lusitana to the city of Solaris, Tacitus' campaigns were an attempt to rebirth the Solarian Empire under the eastern portions of its empire. Rarely defeated in battle, de la Croix became a hero to the Verliquoian Empire and is often regarded as one of the greatest commanders of the early medieval period. His campaigns saw the besting of several foes, ranging from Weranic-led kingdoms in Badawiya, to the Farsi Empire, to city-states across the Caesenan coast.
