Ebrarian Christian Congress

The Ebrarian Christian Congress (Ebrarese: Congresso Christian Ebrarian), or CCE, is a religious association of ecumenically cooperating Amendant denominations in Ebrary which all are empowered by the Ebrarian Constitution to appoint members to Ebrary's High Ecumenical Council. Members cooperate on issues of cultural, theological, and political relevance.

The members of CCE are the Ebraricist Church, Christenist Union of Ebrary, Ebrarian Parishist Union, Church of Vorstland, United Christenist Church and Ebrarian Sanctity Christian Church. The All Ebrary Companions Association holds observer status.

History

The Ebrarian Christian Congress was formed after the establishment of the High Ecumencial Council in 1983. The Christian denominations which appoint members of the Council met in 1984 to form an ecumenical religious organization to focus on cooperation among themselves. The CCE was officially founded in 1986. The organization has been instrumental in missionary work as well as mediating conflict between member denominations.

In 1990, the CCE founded Worldwide Amendant Missions, which coordinates missionary work, funding, and staffing with members of the Ebrarian Foreign Missionary Corps outside of Ebrary for the various involved religious groups.

Missionary activity

Domestic missionary activity

CCE distributes grants of monies to domestic missionary boards and societies which meet the following criterion:

• Trinitarian Christian
• Are in the Amendant religious tradition
• Pledge loyalty to the Ebrarian Constitution, High Ecumenical Council, and Sovereign Protector
• Do not profess heretical ideas
• Do not answer to or recieve significant funds from foreign authorities or sources

Worldwide Amendant Missions

Worldwide Amendant Missions is a non-profit, non-governmental organization controlled by the CCE. Worldwide Amendant Missions acts as an ecumenical Amendant missionary society, recieving funding from the Ebrarian government as well as the CCE. Worldwide Amendant Missions is also the sole beneficiary of missionaries from Ebrary's Foreign Missionary Corps, one option where young Ebrarian men who opt out of military service can serve out their term of national service.

Worldwide Amendant Missions maintains a division for missionary activity benefiting each member denomination of the CCE. These divisions may also work together or with missionary boards or organizations directly affiliated with each denomination.
