An Archon (Chinese: 统治者 Tǒngzhìzhě, Ruler), is an entity created by the Demiurge as an attempt to create an army to emulate God's angels. Unlike angels, however, an Archon is still bound by space and time and has emotions, as well as an unlimited level of free will, allowing them to disobey her.
Each Archon was created to preside over a certain aspect. Chesed was to pour the Demiurge's love into the creation of new Universes and was thus the Archon of creation. Gevurah was to be the Demiurge's enforcer.
