The Ground Forces of Kyievska Rus (Ukrainian: Сухопутні Війська ЗСКР Sukhoputni Viys’ka [ZSKR]), also known as the Kievan Army, are the land forces of Ukraine and one of the seven branches of the Armed Forces of Kyievska Rus. The armed forces of Ukraine were founded on February 18, 480 during the war of independence of Kyievska Rus against the Northern Strug Empire where they obtained their final independence on December 20, 480. In the constitution of 481 it was established in the constitution of Kyievska Rus that the king would be the one to command the armed forces and after the Balkan war in 1147, the constitution was modified to be the King or the President and the Supreme Parliament.
