Katlania Ingham Yozov-Balon Tzekic (born 14 February 1894) is a Kyotakavian paramilitary leader. A leading figure during the 1924 Battle of Nowa Grudak, she became renowned in the KUSSC and wider Kyotakavia for her dogged defensive style of command, as well as excellent logistical management with KLA Commander and NLP leader Regan Klaidev describing her as "the best defensive commander of any army" he had seen.
Tzekic was born to a mixed-ethnicity family in Northern Nowa Grudak, her father being Svozgardan and her mother Kyotak. She joined the Union Guard at age 17, but faced discrimination on account of her mixed-background, repeatedly being passed up for promotion by superior officers during her time as an enlisted member, ultimately deciding she would leave in 1915 following a fourth refusal to be allowed to take the junior officer exam in August 1914. It was around that time that she met Johaan Calstaunas however, and both became good personal friends during visit to Union Guard posts in September. Ultimately she held off on either continuing service or leaving the Union Guard in early-1915 until the results of the leadership election which Calstaunas won on the last ballot. Her reenlistment was met with a fifth rejection for the junior officer examination, which was subsequently overruled by the Union Guard Army Council executive a day later before an appeal by the local command to retract the overruling was then quashed two days later.
Tzekic took the junior officer exam and passed with excellent marks, making a significant impression on the senior Army Council members who voted to send her to the senior officer exam in 1916, which she also passed with excellent marks and as a result, was promoted to Major in the 5th Union Guard Regiment. She would serve in the post with distinction, eventually commanding the Regiment by 1922 before being promoted to overall command of the 2nd 'Nodstok' Front in late-August on direct orders from the Army Council who had undertaken a reorganisation of the Union Guard.
