Family Background
The founder of the house, Rohzindi Vijalanya, was born in 1764 at his families villa outside of Saśrīka Kanda. His parents were Pinja Vijalanya and Faysen Abonsidi. His mother, Faysen, was the sister of the then-King Diyon Abonsidi which elevated the Vijalanya family in the court. When the Vijalanya family rose to power in the country, Rohzindi at the age of 57 became the founder of it as the royal dynasty it is today.

Succession, naming and heirs
The house of Vijalanya followed all other Ankati cultural royalty in an absolute primogeniture succession style, meaning that the first born regardless of gender will stand to inherit the throne. This is seen with Nethmi Rohzindi, the first born but only daughter of Rohzindi who had five sons. Her daughter, Rashmi Nethmi, was her only child. As a royal house the women of Vijalanya married matrilineally to continue the family name and, if needed, adoption into the family and into the line of succession was a perfectly legal and culturally acceptable form of 'beefing up' the family. Names in the family, as another virtue of being nobility, were often double-barrelled in formal aspects and elongated in written and formal greeting situations. Queen Anulā, as reference, is Anula Ravin formally to designate her as the child of Ravin Ajantha. When it is not needed, she goes by her given name of Anulā. In greetings or formal introductions, she is "Anula daughter of Ravin and Aryen of the house of Vijalanya"
