The somewhat odd political system has lead to the nation becoming fairly rich and prosperous once again after the fall of the Jisinian Realm, this all at the cost of human rights and freedoms, which the semi-democratic regime has been actively suppressing. The fall of the Jisinian Realm is up to this very day referred to, amongst the citizens of Jarnowa, as the greatest geopolitical disaster of all time and the avidity to restore its glory is on the rise.
Jarnowa is currently governed as a semi-democratic dual federal technocracy by the TPCJ (Technocratic Party of the Commonwealth of Jarnowa). Jarnowa is a permanent member of the G8 and a founding member of several alliances and regional cooperation organizations such as the Jarnowa-Jabanese Pact (JJ), Jisinian Infrastructure Investment Bank and Jarnowan-Anhtaran Cooperation Organisation. It ranks poorly in international measurements of civil liberties, government transparency, freedom of the press, and ethnic minorities.
