The Tatabánya-class was a class of six protected cruisers that served in the Ruvelkan Red Navy at the beginning of the 20th century. The cruisers were authorized in 1898 in response to the ongoing naval buildups in neighboring Syara and Górska. They were originally designed as an improved version of the previous Veretendre-class, but later decisions resulted in an increase in expected weight as well as better armor protection.
