History

Mori Corporation was founded in Feburary, 2175, as a mining outpost on Planet C-d. By 2450, mining operations had expanded at an unprecedented rate due to the discovery of FTL (Faster-than-light) travel. As such, FTL travel allowed for the sale of goods to core planets such as A-d and A-b (1), additionally, the speed at which commercial transit was available permitted for relatively inexpensive colonies to be maintained on C-d without establishing self-sufficent systems.

By 2680 Mori Corporation had expanded to several other planets on solar system 'C', providing mining and infrastructure related services to these planets. Following the success of the company's expansion into inter-system rapid transit, the construction of the Gyōsei toshi "machi" was permitted by Mori Group. Gyōsei toshi was completed in 2760, housing the most high capacity on-planet dockyard at the time, and allowed for the doubling of import/export capacity.

Post-2933

The 2933 disaster resulted in communications between Mori Group and Mori Corporation being severed. Additonally it prevented the usage of FTL travel, reducing company revenue by approximately 40% as exports to the core planets were no longer possible.

Despite severed communications, Mori Corporation continued to operate, albeit no longer on a galaxy-wide basis. In 2934, with the loss of foreign direct investments, a new board of of directors were elected.
