The ADC is an Agarn political party.
History
The ADC was established as a merger between the leftist party and the liberal party. The party was established in 1961 to combat the CL which had won three elections in a row. Since the party was made up of two political giants it won the 1962 elections and began a deep rivalry with the CL. It is often blamed for providing the atmosphere for the far-right NLA to take power in 1970 which was subsequently followed by the Darning regime and the Agarn civil war through passing unpopular left-wing policies. The ADC was criminalized during the dictatorship but subsequently led the rebellion in the civil war and restored democracy in 1981 forming the first in term government before October 1982 elections. After the elections, the ADC nearly ended up splitting with a significant portion of its members fleeing to either the now restored liberal party or the new Labour coalition. However, both of these movements never really took off to have the traction to split the ADC.
