The Holy Empire of Bassiliya maintains select foreign relations with neighboring nations, allied nations, and trade partners. However, the lack of knowledge and contact with nations far beyond her borders limits the ability of the Empire to establish proper relations. Diplomats, when posted, are representatives of the Imperial Court, empowered by the Emperor to negotiate on behalf of the Empire and sign treaties. As such, diplomats in foreign nations are often highly trusted members of the Imperial Court and an appointment carries ennoblement.
Oskiya and Deteros
As a powerful nation situated between these two continents, Bassiliya maintains relations with a large number of the polities located here. Although the far southern nations are known of within the Empire, no attempt at official contact has been made. With connections growing through the Blue Rose League and the Eternal War allies, the Empire may see expanding horizons in the near future concerning the far south and the nations residing there.

Kalavik
Although the majority of the most populous and well-established nations reside in the extreme west of Kalavik, Bassiliya maintains some relations with nations further east. Stronger ties in the western nations has resulted in trade deals, with the Bassiliyan market central to the survival of the outlying nations. Mychenar, the largest and most powerful of the Kalavik nations to maintain relations with the Bassiliyans, shares a cultural heritage with the Bassiliyans through the Juliae culture.

Shanqiang
This most newly-discovered continent is sparsely populated outside the population hub of Shijeun, the only nation on the continent with whom Bassiliya maintains relations. Primarily communicating through the Prefencian Republic, Bassiliya maintains an alliance of convenience with the Celestial Mandate, both nations fighting against the Peraro Krotoik in the Eternal War.
