The Coalition Security Council Resolution 240 was adopted unanimously on 3 May 2023 by the CCA Security Council, considering a report by Secretary-General Katherine von Wettin, and approved a peacekeeping plan in Sateroc to quell fighting during the 2023 Sateroc conflict.

Background

Framework

The Proposition to Establish a Peacekeeping Force in Sateroc:
1. Considering that the situation in the Second Republic of Sateroc constitutes a threat to international peace and stability, a peacekeeping force under the rules and regulations of the 1972 Coalition Charter will be established in Sateroc, with the aim of reaching a peaceful political settlement in the region.
2. A ceasefire must be instituted by both sides of the conflict: the forces of the government of Jonrov Mornes and the National Unity Army must cease hostilities. The peacekeeping force will enforce the ceasefire under appropriate measures.
3. The peacekeeping force shall be deployed for an initial period of twelve months.
4. Any and all arms embargos on Sateroc should not apply to weapons and military equipment intended for the peacekeeping mission.
5. The Security Council requests international support for the Force, particularly with regards to the transit of personnel and equipment.
