'''Operation Anvil''' was a Royal Navy operation during the [[Pan-Septentrion War]], that took place on the night of 21-22 July 1940. The main goal of the attack was to neutralise or destroy the portion of the Reberiyan fleet at anchor at the naval base in Portomyr, to deny it the ability to harrass Anglian shipping in the Crimson Sea. It was the Royal Navy's first all aircraft naval attack in its history, and demostrated the effectiveness of naval aviation over the battleship.

Before the war in Casaterra broke out, the Reberiyan Navy based a squadron of battleships with accompanying escorts. While the battleships of the Reberiyan Navy weren't as large or capable as the ones in Anglian or Sieuxerrian service, they still posed a threat to Allied shipping, so the Royal Navy devloped a plan to destroy or at least disable the Reberiyan ships while they were still at anchor.
