Nydia Reyes is the second eldest child of Álvaro IX and Queen-Consort Natalia IV , the current king and queen of Costa Mejis. Princess Nydia is a claimant to the throne of Costa Mejis and is second in the Costa Mejian right of succession, following her older sister, Crown Princess Álvara. Though she has always held the position of claimant to the throne due to her being a child of the ruling monarch, Costa Mejian tradition dictates that a claimant can not ne considered to rule prior to their sixteenth birthday. As such, Princess Nydia was acclaimed a Princess of Costa Mejis on October 13, 2005, a day after her 16th birthday.
