Air STR,formerly known as Air StrayaRoos,is the Flag carrier of StrayaRoos.
History
1946-1959 Pre-Jet Age
Air STR began service with a DC-3 Service between Pale and Panem, with an pair of stopovers in Zeal and Acina being necsessary for the Piston powered airliner, these services continued several times per day, until the Cove to coast Pale-Circunses service was inaugurated in 1950, using Douglas DC-4 aircraft, which replaced the DC-3s on most of the services operating in the nation.
1959-1969 Early Jet Age
In late 1957, Air STR placed an order with Boeing for 10 707-120 series aircraft, and later put in an second order for an additional 10 in 1958. The first of these 20 707s was delivered on the 22nd of December 1959, going into service on the high-demand, long-range Pale to Kalush route, which was at the time, the world's longest flight, spanning 9683 miles, and needing to stop thrice to make it, first in Duomji, then Blidyy, followed by Reakia and then finally Kalush, with an total flight time (excluding stopovers) of 19 hours and 49 minutes. The airline retired the DC-4 fleet in 1963.
1970-1989 Widebody introduction
In 1970, three wet-leased Boeing 747-100s were introduced into the fleet, operating the Airline's flagship route to Kalush, with only one stop, that being Colombo in Sri Lanka. The 747-100s were quickly replaced with Boeing 747-200Bs, which operated the same routing. The airline also inaugrated it's first purpose-made route (i.e. not a just a stopover) into the Barrier Islands using a pair of DC-10-30s, which operated between Pale and Duomji starting in 1974. The Airline also welcomed long range 747SPs into the fleet, which were able to fly nonstop to Blidyy, in a record time for an flight between the cities, in only 11 hours.
