Tulpas are beings born from the human psyche, used to channel Qì by the denizens of Realm 108, as they cannot harness it directly. People who use Tulpas, regardless of whether or not they created them, are known as Tulpamancers.
Overview
A Tulpa is a a reflection of the soul(s) of the person/people who created them. For this reason, Tulpas come in all shapes and sizes, from humanoids with an odd feature or two, small inanimate objects, to beloved pets, gargantuan flying animals, and anything in between. As they come from human souls, they have powers that are fueled by one or more of the six colours of Qì.
Types of Tulpas
Regular Tulpas
Mythic Tulpas
Birth
A Tulpa is willed into existence by a person (or people) and undergoes a life cycle where it displays different characteristics. A Tulpa enters the world as disembodied voices and a presence only its creator(s) can hear/feel. If acknowledged and interacted with enough, the Tulpa will then gradually gain a physical form at a rate depending on how much energy the creator(s) have and are willing and able to spend on them, as well as how often it interacts with them. First, they take the form a levitating blob of colour only their creator(s) can see, but can subtly affect objects such as knocking objects around, and then they slowly form itself according to the creator(s)' personality. When they have a fully physical form, it can then be seen by others and use its powers properly.
