The AFLP Championship, known simply as the Championship, is the second-highest division of the Aquitaynian football league system, after the Premier League, and is contested by 20 clubs.
Each season, the two top finishing teams in the Championship are automatically promoted to the Premier League. The teams that finish 3rd through 6th are entered into a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Premier League. The three lowest finishing clubs in the Championship are relegated to the AFLP Prestige Divison.
