The program includes complete overhaul of electronics, sensors and support systems, as well as reducing the radar cross section by unifying the superstructure with that of 15472s. It is expected that frigates of the class will remain the mainstay of the Navy until 2030s, by which point they will be supplemented by sufficient number of newer and more advanced designs.
