Mizube no Machi (Waterfall City) is an Anagonian pseudo-exclave located on the North Chamorro Islands. Emerging from the leasing of the Chamorro Isles to Anagonia during the Great War, it would come to be a major basing region, being owned by Anagonia throughout the entirety of the Korean Civil War. While the islands as a whole were returned to Neo-Korea, a new deal was signed to lease the territory of Mizube to Anagonia as a military base in perpetuity, while the day-to-day governance of the region would be handled by Neo-Korea with Anagonian oversight. This agreement has been seen to be a major realization of the positive relations between Anagonia and Neo-Korea, which were jeopardized for a period during the Great War.
Mizube is a major point of tourism alongside its utilization as a naval base, owing to the relaxation of many of the restrictions present on the Mainland or other parts of Chamorro, holding the only major temple (one of Drekanity) present under government oversight. The temple regularly imports Anagonian religious figures from abroad to ensure adherence to ritual in a correct fashion.
History
Environment
The climate of Mizube is similar to the other isles of the Chamorros, being tropical, with moderate winters and high summer temperatures, although this is somewhat mitigated by the closeness of the Northern Chamorros to the colder continent. Humidity is notable throughout the entirety of the year.
Transportation
Mizube possesses a High-Speed Rail network, which covers several key points of interest, including the Drekanic Shrine and Mizube Provisional Airport.
Politics
The administration of Mizube, as mentioned, is carried out by an elected council with joint Neo-Korean and Anagonian oversight. The currently leading party is the Rokujūichi Rengō (Sixty-One Union), a generally juridstiction-neutral party which has primarily focused upon continued development of the tourism and services industry, alongside limited adaption of the Anagonian Denar for utilization within the city (a similar action to Far Island.
Notable Structures
Mizube Provisional Airport
Mizube Provisional Airport is the second-largest airport in North Chamorro, accepting both international and domestic flights. It has the space to accept several Anagonian passenger jets, acting in a spoke-and-hub fashion.
