Georg Friedrich (Georg Friedrich Ferdinand; born 10 June 1976) is King of Germany. The only son of Crown Prince Louis Ferdinand and Countess Donata of Castell-Rüdenhausen, at the age of eighteen, Georg Friedrich ascended to the German throne following the death of his grandfather Louis Ferdinand, becoming the youngest German monarch to succeed to the throne. As of current, he is the second German monarch following the restoration of the monarchy in the aftermath of the Second World War.

Born during the reign of his grandfather, in his youth, Georg Friedrich attended the Glenalmond College in Perth, Scotland before later receiving a degree in business economics from the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology in Saxony, Germany. In addition, he also served for a brief period in the Bundeswehr before resigning his commission after ascending to the throne. In 1977, the death of his father left a three-year-old Georg Friedrich as the heir apparent to the German throne, a role that he held for the next fifteen years until 1994 when the subsequent death of his grandfather resulted in an eighteen-year-old Georg Friedrich becoming the youngest German monarch to ascend to the throne as the second officeholder since the monarchy's restoration in 1951. Since then, Georg Friedrich's reign has come to include the adoption of the euro currency by the European Union, the Great Recession, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine in which he has been vocally critical of Russia for their actions against Ukraine.

In 2011, Georg Friedrich married Princess Sophie of Isenburg, a German aristocrat. Together, the couple have four children with the eldest Louis Ferdinand being the heir apparent.
