Daveed Youngshed Young (born Zamastanian rapper and singer-songwriter. Often regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, he is one of the most decorated musicians. Young began releasing music under the stage name DaYoung while he was attending high school in Arinals, Zian, and co-founded the hip hop supergroup Block E.

Young embedded jazz styles on his third album, Wait for Check (2015), which became one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the 2010s. Young's critical and commercial success continued with his R&B and pop-leaning fourth albums Near Streets (2017) and Near Outside The Box (2021). Young's infusion of political criticism and social commentary is widely known as an influence in his generation and genre. He has worked with various charities and advocates for racial equality and mental health awareness.
