Etymology
The Name Tarikuya (他陸家) Is Comprised Of Two Parts: 他陸 (Tariku), Which Loosely Translates To "Another/Other Land" And 家 (Ie), Translating To "Home" or "House", Which Probably Came From Early Tayichians Describing Similarities Between Syo Lands And Their Own.
History
Establishment Of Colony
Tayichian Colonization of Tarikuya began with the Tayichian conquest of Au-Iyamli (later renamed to Kurayami) and surrounding areas in 1732, where the first military headquarters were established. Tayichian Tarikuya thereafter continued to grow gradually, with several military expeditions up and down the coast and into the continent in the 18th and 19th centuries, eventually putting the entire eastern coast of Syo under Tayichian administration. The main motive for Tayichian interest in the Syo region was to counter the newfound threat of Amnisian colonization, which The Empire of Tayichi feared was a threat for its own sovereignty.
