The Lappland Coast Guard is the Lappland Home Defense Branch dedicated to patrolling the nation's coastline, both for national defense and search and rescue. The Coast Guard Headquarters are located in Kiuruvesi with other notable stations located primarily along their eastern and western coastlines.
