Lucle is a developing nation and a presidential republic governed by President Victor Aldéric. It is going through the process of industrialization and economic diversification, with its long-dominant mining sector losing its importance to sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation. The Laissez-Faire system, implemented in Lucle since 1995, has fostered the rise of several monopolies, mainly in its mining sector, which is dominated by two major corporations, [[Compagnie Minière de Montclaire]] and [[Groupe Minier du Futur]]. Under President Victor Aldéric's leadership, various measures have been introduced to reduce the influence of these monopolies, which also control the transportation and electricity sectors. Since their independence in 1883, monopolies have held tight control over the nation's economy. One such example is the Société Royale des Ressources, one of Lucle's biggest monopolies during the 19th century, which maintained a strong grip on the country until 1936, when it went bankrupt and Groupe Minier du Futur took its place.

Lucle is a emerging nation and a presidential republic governed by President Victor Aldéric. It is going through the process of industrialization and economic diversification, with its long-dominant mining sector losing its importance to sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation. The Laissez-Faire system, implemented in Lucle since 1995, has fostered the rise of several monopolies, mainly in its mining sector, which is dominated by two major corporations, Compagnie Minière de Montclaire and Groupe Minier du Futur.

Political System of Lucle

Lucle is a presidential republic where the president holds significant power, overseeing the executive branch and appointing cabinet members and other officers. The president acts independently from the legislature and has the power to veto legislation. Each president may serve up to three terms, with each term being five years long. Impeachment can only occur by a unified decision from the legislative and judiciary branches. Elections take place every 5 years and typically have 2 rounds. A candidate needs at least 51% of the votes to be elected in the first round; otherwise, the top three candidates proceed to a second round, where the majority winner prevails. The last election saw Victor Aldéric of the Union des Modérés Démocrates (UMD) win, marking a shift from the left-aligned policies of the Partenariat des Démocrates Progressistes (PDP), a center-left coalition.

With the Plan d'industrialisation et de développement économique, Industrialization and Economic Development Plan, being the project that got him elected, which promotes changes to the laissez-faire system, with the curtailment of various monopolies and governmental subsidies to small businesses, a broader promotion of the free market within Lucle, and the privatization of several state-owned industries, mainly in the transportation sector.

Main Political Parties:

  • Union des Modérés Démocrates (UMD)
  • Partenariat des Démocrates Progressistes (PDP)
  • Parti Démocrate Centriste (PDC)
  • Nouvelle Gauche Démocratique (NGD)
  • Front de Gauche Populaire (FGP)
  • Bloc National et Identitaire (BN)

Economy

Lucle's economy is rapidly industrializing and diversifying under the Plan d'industrialisation et de développement économique initiated in 2080 by Victor Aldéric. This plan includes the privatization of several state-owned companies established during previous PDP administrations, mainly in the transportation sector, but also including the construction, electricity, healthcare, education, and manufacturing sectors. It promotes changes to the laissez-faire economic system, with limited state intervention to curb monopolies and provide subsidies to small and medium-sized companies. The primary target of these reforms is Groupe Minier du Futur, which has extensive control over the mining, transportation, and forestry sectors.
