Jeongjo the Great Class Destroyers are destroyers deployed by the Royal Joseon Navy to the maritime fleets through the KDX-III Batch-II project.

Jeongjo the Great Class Destroyer has a ballistic missile defense (BMD) system along with the Aegis combat system and has multifunctional phased array radar, infrared detection and tracking equipment, and electronic optical tracking equipment, and its ability to detection and tracking has more than doubled compared to Sejong the Great class destroyers.

In addition, with the integrated sonar system developed by the Agency for Defense Development, the submarine detection distance has improved more than three times compared to Sejong the Great class.
