In NationStates Worlds, a keyword (Chinese: 关键词 guānjiàn cí) refers to a word which represents an ability. This word works as a form of shorthand in order to save both space on the card text and time when reading them. Keywords can be referenced by card effects, such as for give or remove a specific ability, as well as require a card with it.
In card texts, a reminder text about the keyword may be included, which explains the main function of the ability. The reminder text has no effect on gameplay, but reminds the players of the rules about how the keyword ability works.
