Cityscape
The city of Troiana is divided into ten distinct districts, they are Aventine, Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Palatine, Quirinal, Viminal, Pincian, Velian, and Janiculum.
The southernmost district Aventine, centered around the Forum Pistorium, is largely a residential area for the city's middle class and lower working class population. The nearby Caelian district once a fashionable residential area for the wealthy it is now the site ristocratic mansions, churches, gardens, public bathhouses, and luxury shopping.
The Palatine district, located in the center of the city is the location of the huge imperial complex known simply as the acropolis. The Acropolis of the Palatine contains around five palaces, several cathedrals and churches, Imperial Armory, Imperial Arsenal as well as the Palatine gardens.
The Capitoline district, located northwest of the Palatine district is the city's governmental area. Located in this section of the city are Imperial Theatre, City Hall, government buildings, many museums, as well as a few ancient temples dedicated to the Mesogeian gods.
The Esquiline district is the location of the famed Lamian park and gardens. Located to the city's north is the Quirinal district, an area largely reserved for the wealthy who have built mansions, and villas along the northern hills for centuries. The Esquiline and Viminal districts are the two most important business districts in the city. The suburra, a crowded lower-class area in the Esquiline is notorious as a red-light district.
In stark contrast, located at the western end of the Esquiline district is the exclusive Carinae neighborhood, a placing housing numerous mansions of the elite.
