The Special Activities Group (SAG) is a tier 1 special operations unit maintained by West Aurelia and is a major component of the Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Although part of the West Aurelian Navy, SAG operatives are selected from all branches of the armed forces.
SAG is responsible for a range of special and black operations including direct action, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, counter-insurgency, sabotage, intelligence collection, combat diving, VBSS operations, and combat search and rescue.
SAG is regarded as a tier 1 special operations unit, alongside the Army's Special Reconnaissance Wing (SRW).
