The Free Lyoan Army (abbreviated FLA) is an armed group participating in the Northern Lyoa Conflict. It was founded in 2012, after community leader Olivier Tamboa lead a group of ex-Nationalist Front members into rebellion against the government, proclaiming "national revolution". The group has accused the government of corruption, as well as of being "run by foreigners". The FLA is heavily nationalistic in nature, and opposes any foreign influence in the country. As of 2018, the group had an estimated 500 members, mainly hailing from the Nagata ethnicity.
