Απολυτίκιο του Τιμίου Σταυρού (English: Troparion of the Holy Cross) is the national anthem of the Thraysian Empire. Historically, it was frequently sung after victory in battles or in ceremonies. In 1691, it was officially adopted as a national anthem. The source of the anthem is unknown but has been carried on through custom and tradition. The anthem is unusually short in lyrics compared to other nations, though it is chanted at a slow pace. It is religiously themed, reflective of the Emperor's divine mandate to rule.

Conventions

  • The line, Grant victory to the Emperors, typically is adjusted to whatever Emperor or Empress is currently in power. As of now, the line is Grant victory to Emperor Alexios.
  • All Rhomaions are required to stand, if they are able to, when it is announced that the anthem will be sung.
  • Those who aren't composing the anthem or holding the flag must place their hand over their heart.
  • In formal occasions, those who compose and sing the anthem are required to dress in a traditional outfit. Females are required to veil while singing the anthem.
  • The anthem may be repeated 3 times in formal occasions.
