Groffenord is an Industrious nation with a tremendous focus on it's military and infrastructure.

It's northern location on the continent has forged a mindset of efficiency,sacrifice,tradition,and ingenuity within the people of Groffenord and at times reluctance to change. Meritocracy and equity is considered the best way to keep Groffennord's Economy which is valued at 70 billion nordmarks

It's affairs are managed by a Chancellor,a legislative body split between an elected parliament, and a noble senate. The Chancellor can break ties within Parliament and can bring both Parliament and Senate members to the Supreme Court.

Parliament writes new laws for Groffennord to abide by. They convene every two months for hearings to gain information from accountability officials on the certain laws passed within the two month period. The parliament consists of 200 members, ten for each state. Parliament has the power to invoke articles of impeachment against the Chancellor,a 2/3rds vote is required for the articles to pass.

The noble senate is an old relic from the unification era that is now just a pulpit for corporate interests and adverts

The noble senate can't do much in terms of political power however it's great for talking to the captains of industry and getting their perspective on laws concerning them.

The Chancellor serves a five year term and parliament members serve a 4 year term. Accountability officials oversee elections of both the Chancellor and Parliament.

Accountability Officials swear to the protection of the Republic and the citizens of Groffennord only. Any official found breaking this oath will be sentenced to death by firing squad. These Officials are what keeps the government accountable to its people and what keeps corruption at bay. When a citizen has a case against the state,this type of official will be the judge. When a politician tries to avoid a court case, this type of official hunts them down and drags them to court by any means necessary. accountability officials are called upon at random times by the Chief of accountability so they usually have a part time job on the side so an accountability official could be anyone. The Chief of Accountability addresses the state of corruption to the republic. The Military of Groffennord focuses on a doctrine of mobile warfare and combined arms. There are multiple lines of defense within the country accounting for any invasion by any of our neighbors,the intent of these lines is to make the frontline as unlivable as possible within the limits of international treaties of course. There are also a line of forts lining the coast to protect against naval invasions.

Artillery support and mobile warfare has been the goto strategy for most of Groffenord’s history but as the military is catching up with modern standards, a more mobile strategy is being considered by the general staff.

The Goffernordic Navy focuses on utilizing its multiple screen ships as Icebreakers to keep naval trade open during the winter months and to protect the many convoys from priracy and hostile nations. Out of one random month of the year, the biggest ships of the navy train for the entire month and combat reports are drafted to improve upon them. The Air Force for Groffenord is relatively unused except for paratrooper training and faux dogfights to keep it sharp. The Air Force also includes anti-air defense on the ground and works extremely close with the Navy to help identify pirate and smuggling ships within Groffenordic waters from the air.
