The Kalwezi Communist Party (KCP), sometimes referred to as Kalwezi Communist Party-Popular Revolutionary Army (KCP-PRA) after its military wing, is a banned Communist party and insurgent group based in Kalwezi, Lyoa. The group advocates for the overthrow of the Lyoan government through "protracted people's war" and hopes to establish a Communist state. The group declared its existence on January 30, 2020 after they ambushed a convoy of the LNDF near the Kalwezi mountains, stating they intended to lead a "people's war of liberation".
