The Liberal Democratic Party is the primary opposition party in the Radictistani parliament. The Liberal Democrats favor a higher level of government regulation of the economy than does the ruling Fascist Democratic Party along with more social spending, but does not go so far as to advocate bringing more industries under governmental ownership. More controversially, the Liberal Democratic Party openly advocates decentralization of governing authority. This would mean allowing the individual Counties more say in their own administration and legislation. This principled stance has led to a backlash against the party which culminated in electoral losses at the last parliamentary election.
