The Age of Exploration, generally refered to as the Great Age of Exploration, or the Age of the Explorers refers to a period of Midlonian history between the first wave of colonisations and the Roaring Fifties. This era and the subsequent period form what is generally known as the Midlonian Golden Age. The time period was marked by many great geographical, technological and scientific discoveries, as well a marked enlargement of the Empire. The legacy of the age and its principal actors is noted even in the modern era.
