Springwood

Springwood, is the third most populous city in Skaolitunia. With an estimated 2019 population of 6,997,341 distributed over about 302.6 square miles (784 km2), New Victoria is also the most second most densely populated major city in Skaolitunia. Located at the southern tip of the Skaolitunian province of Edward, the city is the center of the Springwood metropolitan area.

Districts

• Airoton — Mostly urban district, found directly southwest of Old Town.
• Aviation — Located to the southeast of Springwood International Airport, Aviation is well-reached via the AirTrain network.
• Cape Spring — An uninhabited area that is popular amongst locals as a urban get-away. The Cape is the only place where the Springwood Poppy grows.
• Crompton — An old crime ridden suburb in the middle of the city with rich history.
• Danbury — A new booming district based on Inglewood and Westchester.
• Docks — The main connection to the world for the city.
• Downtown — The epicenter of Springwood finance, full of towers.
• Evergreen — A high-wealth area with winding roads, based loosely on Beverly Hills.
• Everton — Mostly undeveloped, it has high taxes.
• Springwood Hills — Affluent suburb dominated by the infamous Springwood Sign.
• Kensington — South of Downtown, Kensington is home to the Markyguin Aquarium.
• Lyle — Affluent residential area.
• Mayfield — Poor residential and industrial area.
• Middleton — A wealthy and very luxurious area with many shops and cafes.
• Mount Bunda — A mountain area that is the location of the Mt. Bunda Observatory.
• Old Town — An older district within urban Springwood.
• Palmdale — A beachfront area loosely based on Coney Island.

• Poppy Meadow — Mostly a residential area, which is relation to Cape Spring.
• Rahman Village — A newer suburb south of the 8 Freeway on the foothills of the Springwood Mountains with its clean streets, red roofs and neighborhood designs. Some parts of this district has housing complexes some are dirty and some are clean.
• Riverbridge — Formally called New Buenos Aires, immigrants came from Buenos Aires, Argentina to escape from WWII.
• Riverside — A suburban area close to Palmdale.
• Santa Clara — A beach front district full of resorts and known for the Santa Clara Beach.
• Stanford — A large industrial/fishing area with a fish market and container harbor.
• Surfwood - A now abandoned formerly affulent suburb.
• Thursley - A suburb located north of Danbury near the Westhaven Mountains. The small suburb dosent have much going on other than Interstate 408 and residential and shops.

1982 Springwood International Airport mass shooting

On June 14th, 1982, a terrorist attack occurred at the Springwood International Airport. At 9:02 am, a single gunman opened fire on civilians in the North Terminal, killing 14 innocent civilians, including one police officer and 3 children and permanently injuring 16 others. At 9:03 am Officer Truman along with his partner Officer John S. Michel opened fire on the shooter. Officer Cordell was struck in the neck and killed. At 9:07 am, SPD SWAT arrived on scene and neutralized the shooter. After securing the area, paramedics were called to aid. Officer Truman was dead on arrival. He is the second police officer in Springwood to die in the line of duty. After the incident, Springwood International Airport has received additional security around the terminal areas.
