'''General elections''' were held in Alsland on 12 December 2020 to elect all 151 members of the House of Representatives. The elections was the first election ever held in winter in Alsland.
The elections resulted in a landslide victory for the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Sotirian Democratic Front]] in [[Hamptonshire]] and [[Fawkhamshire]]. However the ruling 'National Bloc' were unable to secure a majority in the House and were forced to form a coalition with other right-wing parties. <ref>[https://https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=418954&p=38094639#p38094639 New Governing coalition causes outrage] ANS, 15 December 2020</ref> The governing coalition was formed between the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Sotirian Democratic Front]], [[List of political parties in Alsland|Sotirian Union]], the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Conservative Party]], [[List of political parties in Alsland|National Rally]], the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Democrats]] and the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Justice]] party. The latter formally joined the National Bloc as part of the deal. [[List of political parties in Alsland|The Centre]] party which was previously part in a coalition with the National Bloc from 2015 to 2020 left the coalition as a result of the inclusion of the right-wing parties although formed a Confidence and Supply agreement with the national bloc giving the Government a Majority of one Representative.

However the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Socialist Party]] saw their worst electoral defeat since 1936. The election also saw a surge in support for the [[List of political parties in Alsland|Green Socialists]] who saw their best electoral performance in history.
