Initially caused due to religious schism between the reformist Veneratii, and the mainline Tradiziunalii. Throughout the course of the conflict, the reasons and war goals of the sides gradually morphed until such a time that the Veneratii were actively seeking to dismantle the monarchy and to establish a parliament. To contrast, whilst the Tradiziunalii initially sought only the continued rights and privileges of the monarchy, the staunch religious nature of the conflict eventually saw their primary motivation morph into a desire to outlaw the new religious sects.
