With the collapse of what was considered "civilized" society with the Plains People's Migrations south of the Atlas Mountains and into the Golden Basin in the 5th Century BCE, the various petty states collapsed and brought about centuries of violence and bloodshed along with the regression in some areas of sociological advancement.
