His Majesty King Liam (Liam David Israel;[fn 1] born 6 August 1989), is the heir apparent to the Skavandian throne as the son of King Constatine I and Queen Elanor. He has been heir apparent since 2002 and the Prince of Skavand since 2008.
Liam was born at Euler House as the second fourth grandchild of King Cornelius and Queen Evelynne. He was educated at the Cheam School in England, the same school as King Charles III of the United Kingdom. Liam later studied at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, earning a bachelor of science in chemistry in 2010. He later served as a director on the board of Bayer in his capacity as a private citizen from 2010 to 2012.
As the King, Liam has been serving in an official capacity since 2013 while Prince of Skavand. He undertakes duties on behalf of Commonwealth and serves as a patron and member of twenty organizations, including Ryan Holdings. As a patron, the King has traveled to more than fifty countries promoting environmentalism, the study of chemistry, women and youth rights, domestic violence awareness and mental health advocacy. He has earned awards and recognition for his work in these fields, including receiving a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
During the 2021 social season's 2021 Applewood Manor Ball, Liam announced his engagement to Madeleine, Countess of Fydelia. After it was discovered that the Lopes–Al Saadi scandal was a set-up to discredit the public image of Lady Riley Lopes, Countess Beaumont, the King ended his engagement with the Countess of Fydelia. A week later, he announced his engagement to Lady Riley; he met her while at his first bachelor party in New York City and subsequently has been seeing her since. The couple married on 1 July 2021 and had their first daughter, Princess Eleanor, in 2022.
Early life and education
Liam was born at Euler House in Brighton, Cordonia, Skavand, during the first year of the reign of his father, King Constantine I; and mother Queen Eleanor, on 6 August 1989. He was born His Royal Highness The Prince Liam David Israel.[fn 1] He was not born the heir apparent; his paternal half-brother Prince Leonardo, Duke of Cordonia, was the heir apparent until a court ruling from the Royal Court of Skavand annulled the marriage of their father Constantine I to Princess Matilda posthumously due to infidelity. Upon the ruling which came into affect on January 1, 2002, Liam became the heir apparent to the Skavandian throne. Due to the Constitution, Liam did not receive the title of Prince of Skavand, the title for an heir apparent, until he became a legal adult at 19, the Commonwealth's age of majority.
