The Fratanican Foreign Service, or FFS, is the diplomatic service of Fratanica, which represents Fratanican interests abroad and deals with foreign affairs. The service has around 10,000 employees, who work in both Viras and diplomatic missions throughout the world. Diplomatic mission staff and diplomats are both employed under this service.
Entry into the Fratanican Foreign Service is difficult, only taking a small percentage of highly-qualified and highly-experienced applicants. Applicants often come from prestigious universities, and have worked in the federal government for some time. Out of 16,300 applicants who applied in 2017, only 98 applicants were hired by the service, a mere 0.7% of applicants.
