Thierry Montefort, also known as The Lord-Viscount of Sartoux or The Marquis of Auxillac, was an admiral serving Gaullica during the Third Gilded War and the War of Haillet's Finger. Fighting primarily in southern Asteria Superior and Euclea he earned the nickname Old Ironsides based on his preference of engagement; bringing about more guns in a battle line than an enemy could muster. He is famous for defending the Estmerish Isles during the War of Haillet's Finger as part of the Fourth Gilded War as well as defeating the Raglanese Red Squadron at the Battle of Trädnen Bank. Amidst the battle he gained honour and universal renown for his rescuing of Raglanese sailors from their sinking ships.
