Jack opens up about how much the death of his father had an effect on him. He hopes to make him and the rest of his family proud. Later that day, he is on the phone with his mother as she talks about how proud she is of him and discusses his high grades in school. She admits being scared of him following his father's footsteps but understands that this is what he truly wants. After the phone call, ''General Clifton Castro'' comes up from behind him and says that he knew his father personally back before he became General. He sees a lot of potential in him. Plot
