Before the reunification of Alezia ocurred, in 1989, the premier of North Alezia, Mukhlis Krasnaya Novogrody proposed an economic alliance between North Alezia and Carrelie in order to balance the world's economical balance between the West and the East as both North Alezia and Carrelie at the time were newly democratized countries as both just recently ousted dictatorships in each countries. During this time, North Alezia and Carrelie has both started contact towards each other, especially culturally with Carrelie participating in the 1989 AleziRadio Festival of Songs, being the first foreign country to participate in the festival. North Alezia in the other hand, sent a few of their best students to Carrelie to study Europe. The country also broadcasted Carrelie Songfestival 1989 on AleziRadio Television Program 1 as a token of appreciation towards the Carrelians' participation. | |||
